Amazing World Tecnology Presentation #CES2015

Golf Swing Analyzer

Epson released details of a new gadget designed to help you perfect your golf swing.

The Epson M Tracer MT500GII Golf Swing Analyzer is attached to your golf club and is able to analyse a variety of aspects of your golf swing in real time.

The M Tracer attaches to the grip of the golf club and records data on the swing path, angle of impact, speed, tempo and other performance related analytics.

The gadget is designed to be used for players of all abilities and can be connected to an iOS or Android device via Bluetooth. The app is then used to collect and store the data and offers the user the ability to watch a 3D replay of the golfer’s swing and even compare their swing against that of a professional.

GPS Sports Watch

Epson Active includes a range of products designed for use in competitive sport and the fitness industry.

As well as the Epson M Tracer there is also the Runsense GPS sports watch, the Pulsense Fitness watch and band and the augmented reality Moverio smart glasses.

The Epson M Tracer will be released in March 2015.

Samsung SUHD

Samsung’s premium SUHD line comprises three series with nine screen sizes ranging from 48-inches all the way up to 88-inches. As is typical for CES announcements, prices and availability are not disclosed as yet.

The three models – JS9500, JS9000 and JS8500 – come in nine screen sizes (48-inch to 88-inch) and continue Samsung's popular curved screen models, which currently account for about half Samsung's UHDTV sales.

All of Samsung’s SUHD TVs use quantum dot technology, allowing for an expanded color gamut that nearly meets the DCI color space — nearly 20-percent more color than existing televisions. The new TV tech also allows for significantly brighter images. Quantum dots are being utilized by most major TV manufacturers now.

Samsung’s flagship television was on display showing off short clips of Life of Pi and Ridley Scott’s Exodus, both of which had been specially mastered in 4K UHD with 10-bit color and in High Dynamic Range. Both 10-bit color and High Dynamic Range are reportedly part of the new 4K UHD Blu-ray spec, as designated by the newly-formed UHD alliance. High Dynamic Range allows for brighter images with even greater contrast between dark and light. 10-bit color, on the other hand, goes back to the enhanced color gamut referenced earlier — sources offering 10-bit color and HDR are not available yet, but when 4K UHD Blu-ray discs arrive, we’ll get both and from what we’ve seen so far, it is going to be spectacular in the literal sense of the term.

                           Toyota "Hydrogen society"

Stressing recent oil disasters, Kaku emphasized that hydrogen is volatile but dissipates quickly, and that we've been working with it long enough that we've smoothed out the kinks.

"We are present at the creation of a hydrogen society."

According to Bob Carter of Toyota, the first model is named Mirai, Japanese for "future".

In the US, the future means October 2015.

Those yellow cylinders are the hydrogen and oxygen tanks. When charged, they combine to  form water vapor, and the reaction releases energy.  This "on-demand" energy drives the front wheels.

The voltage boost converter system allows the car to start in temperatures as low as -30 degrees Celsius

Simulating a blackout, Carter "plugged" the car into the faux house to emphasize that the hydrogen fuel cell can power everything, not just cars. He claimed the fuel cell in the car could power a typical house for a week in an emergency. Toyota has invested in FirstElement Fuel to provide hydrogen-fueling stations. Carter said that a car could be refueled in 3-5 minutes.

Carter claims that hydrogen fuel cell-based cars will be in production by the 10s of thousands by 2020.

In one of the latest incarnations of science fiction becoming reality, the Myo armband is one of the devices set to revolutionize how we interact with the world around us.

Myo uses the electrical activity in your muscles to wirelessly control your computer, phone and other favorite digital technologies. Essentially, the wearer’s arm becomes a magic wand.

BT-200 Smart Glasses

Leveraging the unique capabilities of the Moverio BT-200 platform, new consumer applications will be demonstrated that transform the gaming experience with real-world interaction, education and training applications that enable new ways to learn and retain information, and industrial applications that provide workers with greater efficiency and safety.

The Moverio BT-200 offers an unparalleled binocular smart glasses experience optimized for augmented reality applications. Micro projectors located on each side of the lens project transparent overlays of digital content directly in the user’s field of view over the real-world environment. In addition to the Moverio BT-200’s sensors for head-motion tracking and hands-free navigation, the smart glasses include a front-facing camera for video as well as image capture that detects real-world markers for augmented reality applications.

Sony Action Cam 4K

The new camera, model FDR-X1000V, applies the company’s vast expertise in 4K video production to a compact, splash-proof POV camera design, allowing adventurers to capture stunning 4K content (3840×2160@30p 100Mbps1/60Mpbs) with ease, which can be played back on a compatible 4K TV directly from the camera through HDMI. It also features enhanced HD video performance with upgraded stabilization, image quality and high-frame rate shooting.

The camera can also shoot HD video footage at extremely high frame rates of 120p in Full HD and 240p in standard HD for impressive slow-motion footage, and has clean HDMI output for recording to an external device. On the audio front, the new Action Cam adds wind noise reduction that minimizes wind interference with the stereo microphone, ensuring the best possible sound experience.

For the more advanced user, there is an expanded scope of manual controls and setting adjustments including white balance, and auto exposure shifting. Loop recording is also available, allowing users to maximize usage of available memory card space to ensure they get the exact shot they are looking for. The camera also features live streaming capabilities through the U-STREAM® platform4, burst still image shooting, Motion Shot LE and a variety of other fun, interactive features.
